About

On Friday, December 14th I received this following email from my endocrinologist.

“Hi Chad…your labs show you have celiac disease. This may explain why your thyroid levels have been hard to control as you absorb meds well at times and not so well other times. I recommend a gluten-free diet. If you’d like a referral to gastroenterology to learn more about the disease and diet changes I am happy to refer. Sometimes patients prefer to make diet changes on their own or meet with dietitians. I’ve heard good things about Hy-Vee dieticians for celiac. Let me know what you prefer to do.”

Thus, launching a new chapter in my life on top of being a type 1 diabetic.

It is called celiac disease, but for my humor purposes & this blog, I’m calling it Silly-Ac!
